The aim of this section on the website is to continue the remembrance of all those lost in the Falklands Conflict 1982. The detail here has been compiled from the original memory stick that was produced by Phil Basford RAMC from the Falkland Islanders 40th Anniversary Map that honours all those brave souls lost with a place on the Islands named after them. This was a project Rosie King, Ken Passfield & Patsy Robson undertook on the Islands with great help from Jay Morgan-Hyrons and fully approved by the Falkland Islands Government.
As a temporary measure we have photographed all the locations on the Map and they will be added here in due course until we further upgrade the page with better images.
This presentation has been compiled by Maj. Phil Basford (RAMC) ARRC. The original 40th Anniversary Map has been an ongoing project led by Rosie King, Ken Pasfield, Jay Morgan Hyrons, Patsy Robson with the full approval of the Falkland Islands Government.

Freedom Beach – Photo Credit SAMA memorial plaque and stone at the National Memorial Arboretum. The Story by Dave Eynon ” I picked this as it is a fairly remote place and also because from the sea came our freedom from across the water. Whilst remote it is a beautiful beach with typically white fine Falklands sand.
Mount Pleasant Complex – This is a sensitive military area and therefore no map is shown. A number of streets are named after some of those who gave their lives for the freedom of the Falkland Islands.
