Name Index – P – (Photo Credit British Army Official Photographer) Heavily laden British soldiers of 11 Platoon, D Company, 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment wait to embark in a helicopter at Fitzroy during the Falklands War. The three pictured are left to right, Private Dave Parr, Lance Corporal Neil Turner and Private Terry Stears. This is the last known photograph of Private Parr, who was killed shortly afterwards during the assault on Wireless Ridge on the night of 13/14th June. He had earlier been shot during the battle of Goose Green.

Pashley Ridge – Lance Corporal John Brown Pashley. Army, 9th Parachute Squadron Royal Engineers. Razor-backed ridge running the length of the northeast peninsula on Big Arch Island in the Arch Islands group, West Falkland. Land.

Perkins Point – MEM(M)2 Terrence Wayne Perkins. Royal Navy, HMS Glamorgan. Prominent point on mainland East Falkland south of Lion Creek Island and at the southern entrance to Eagle Passage. Land.

Phillips Hill – Guardsman Eirwyn John Phillips. Army, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards. Conspicuous hill top (550 feet elevation) on the peninsula between Sweeney Creek and Anchor Inlet in Port Stephens, West Falkland. Land.

Keith Phillips Creek – Royal Marines, 45 Commando, Royal Marines. Western Arm of Teal Inlet in Port Salvador, East Falkland. Sea.

Poole Island – Guardsman Gareth Wynne Poole. Army, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards. Small tussac island south of Cross Island at the east entrance to Port Stephens, West Falkland. Land.

Prescott Bay – Staff Sergeant James Prescott CGM. Army, 49 Explosive Ordnance Squadron Royal Engineers. Sandy bay between Southwest Horse Island and mainland East Falkland, east side of Falkland Sound. Sea.

Preston Point – Private Kenneth Preston. Army, 16 Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. Small tussac island at the east end of Kelp Lagoon, between Fitzroy and Mare Harbour on East Falkland. Land.

Prior Creek – Corporal Stephen Ronald Prior. Army, 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment. Creek on the east side of Shag Rookery Point. Sea.
